Point Broadband Outages

Keene from what they’ve told me on email they have no estimation of when it’ll be fixed and they don’t seem to even know what’s wrong. They just keep saying their engineers are working on it. So it seems we may be without internet for a while.

24258 .. A.P Carter Hwy Hiltons ,Va half a mile from the Washington Co Va line. Ours went down Fri at 5:30 So Im assuming from convo on here its hard to tell when they could have the issue fixed ????

I have the 1gig plan and I never have speeds above 350-400 ever. And they’ve never bothered to come see why. They just say well speeds aren’t always exact ????. Point broadband has just been terrible.

No they never said a word about sending anyone out. Just said they were aware of the problem and the engineers were working on it. I don’t think they know what they are doing.

I wonder if it's something to do with the outside unit being originally optinet bc my cousin signed up a few years ago an he has a new outside unit an he's got wifi

I'm supposed to have 500 up 500 down an ever since point broadband bought optinet its never worked right did they say anything to u abt tech ppl coming to hiltons jw if it's a load of ????

Tech support said they r sending techs out to the 55 customers in hiltons today I'll believe it when I see someone

Exactly it shouldn’t take this long to find the problem and fix it. The service in this area has been awful since they sold to point broadband.

24258- Hiltons VA. They are definitely terrible. They keep saying they have no idea when it will be fixed but they are investigating it. Not sure how much investigation it takes they need to be fixing it.

Hiltons 24258 It's always something maybe it'll be on tomorrow I had a tech guy say my outside unit vanished they need to keep car an tech support updated

It's been 6 hrs since it went out an none of them even knew it was a network outage when I called they don't know shit hopefully it might be bk on in am but I doubt it

Mines still down nearly 5hrs later. They said they don’t have a time for restoration. I really hope they get it fixed soon.

45066 - Springboro - More disruptions in my short time with Point Broadband than a decade of Spectrum. Most importantly, the time to bring service online. They could have flown an engineer from Atlanta or Dallas in the time it takes. Great physical infrastructure, don't know how to maintain a network. Switching to Altavista (Cincinnati Bell) as soon as online.

45066 - Down for a while tonight. Pretty common occurrence. Their reliability is terrible and speeds aren't what is advertised. Never thought I'd be considering Spectrum again after switching to Fiber. Pathetic.

Springboro - If my memory is correct, this is the fifth outage in April Point Broadband has proven itself to be unreliable.

45066, I’ve been with Point since it started service in Springboro. This is only the second outage I’ve experienced. Still better than Spectrum. Point will fix the problem, stay calm.

45066. I have a home office and the outages cause me to not be able to work. I’ve been kicked out of court through zoom. I tried several times to reach them during business hours but their phones would give a busy signal and then hang up. When I finally got through after two months of terrible service they told me that they could only refund the minutes I was out. They refunded me like $15 when one night I was on the phone on hold for 1hr and 52mins. Terrible customer service

45066. To all the new people, yes this happens all the time, some times for many hours. I dislike spectrum but I had to go back. Service is that terrible.

45066 if you complain to their support email you might get comped something, I got the month refunded the last time someone cut a cable... They don't even have an official status page to check for updates
