San Diego 92020 Cox is out again. It goes up and cuts out over and over. Been horrible last few days today os the worst. They should give us credits on our bills

Cox internet services having all sorts of issues for the last two days. from wacky results in speed tests ranging from 1mbps up to just under what I pay for 10mbps and everything inbetween for DL speed. Also some sites are unreachable while others are, I can access my Gmail account but get an unable to connect error when accessing outlook.com yet when I ping outlook.com I have zero packet loss and resonable response times. I have reset both my router and my modem with no luck.. i'm going to power down my modem for an hour or so to try and pull a new IP adress to see if that helps but i'm not holding my breath

Completely down in Manhattan, Kansas - just like last night. There is an apparent "outage" until 11:15pm. I'm suspicious the timing indicates undisclosed maintenance or intentional service interruption for some other reason. If this is legitimate, they should have informed their customers. Please be sure to contact their customer service at +1-800-234-3993 and ask to be reimbursed for both today AND yesterday. I had $5.15 applied to my account for a one minute phone call. Not providing a service when paid for is illegal and you are entitled to both compensation and the opportunity to remind companies who do not deliver essential, paid for, services that they are operating illegally. 66502

Service has been down all day? 68108 Omaha NE. Wth. Nothing from Cox regarding why or when it will be fixed...As if I should be surprised, they don't follow thru on anything. They good at adding more charges, fees. Smh. If I wasn't stuck with them being the only provider in my area I would NEVER use Cox again. Unfortunately, this is not the 1st time. Over the years I've had no nothing but problems. & Gigablast is a joke.

Cox has the worst internet. I work from home. I constantly have to reconnect to my VPN. The service is terrible and the prices are outrageous. I wish we had another provider in my area. COX IS THE WORST!

I would cancel my service due to the large number of issues with their service and outrageous prices but they would just send me a bill for non payment. If I had other options in my area i would never go through cox.

About Cox

Cox Communications, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, is a cable TV, home automation and telecommunication service provider in the U.S. The company is an old-timer, established way back in the year 1964 under the name of Cox Broadcasting Company. Errors / network problems

The Cox website has a detailed Education Center that lists out common errors that you may face along with ways to rectify them.

The maximum number of network issues occur on Cox’s internet service at a whopping 92%. Most of the time it happens due to an area-wide outage, leaving you no other option than to contact customer support and wait for it to be fixed. In such instances, Cox offers a notification service that you can subscribe to, which drops a message when service is restored. TV services, at 6%, rarely face issues, and are more often than not rectified by troubleshooting it yourself.

Troubleshoot yourself

In several cases of issues with the Cox Internet services, you can fix the problems yourself by simply turning off and turning on the router or modem. Some devices even come with a reset button, which should fix many common errors. The first thing to do, however, is to check that the Cox service itself isn’t down. There are numerous websites like DownDetector that report such issues with services.

For issues with the Cox TV service such as a blue or black screen, or fuzzy visuals, a loose cable is the most likely problem. Check all the cables running into the set-top box or cable box and make sure they are latched on tight.
