61548 Germantown Hills MTCO Internet went down about 2pm Oct 10, 2022!!! 10:15pm MTCO Internet Still Totally Out!!!! PAIN IN ASS. NO INFO AVAILABLE AT ALL FROM MTCO!!! JUST TELL US WHAT IS GOING ON!!! Is this going to be a New 5 Day Outage??? Do I need to Switch to like Verizon Hot Spot or something else similar!! Wife works from home as RN! She had to drive into Hospital to use her PC in hospital—— MAJOR INCONVENIENCE!!! HAVE YOU NOT DEVELOPED ANY BACK UP PLANS SINCE THIS MAJOR OF AN INCIDENT HAPPENED BEFORE!!! THIS TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD HAVE BEEN “TOTALLY TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE” AT CATERPILLAR INC!!!!!!!!!!!

It is hilarious to see all these people complaining about MTCO. If you actually look into the problem. Trace it back to the source. Clearly, someone with a fraction of intelligence can link it to the railroad located in Cicaro, IL. The "competent" employees started a project without a Julie. That is a free service that marks out underground utilities. Had the highly paid skilled workers located the utilities before starting the project. We wouldn't be in this situation. Also calling in a Julie is required by law before any construction project. Hopefully BNSF pays the bill for everything. Carry on chumps. Washington, IL 61571

61548 Metamora I have done business with MTCO for over 44 years. I can count the outages during that time with the fingers on one hand. Being local, no one can come close to providing better service than MTCO

im in marseilles 61341 internet has been out since yesterday and still no internet. called yesterday and lady would not give me any information as to why told me it be back up running possible today wednesday.

Metamora 61548: Still no internet 21 hours later. I read online that they are still trying to locate the broken fiber in Chicago in order to fix it. Out of MTCO’s hands. Hopefully will be fixed by tomorrow at the latest.

61548 Germantown hills is still down. A buddy's wife called our work and said their internet was out at 9 am yesterday so in a few more hours it will have been a full 24 since it went down.

MTCO managers is horrible no knowledge to fix broke cable or service. If you can get internet somewhere else do it.

MTCO is still down in 61548, Germantown Hills, IL and surrounding areas. Told a fiber cable was cut in Chicago. Very bad practice to not have a backup network connection to avoid this long outages. MTCO management needs to be replaced. They do not know how to manage a telephone and ISP company at all.

61571 Extremely pissed at this you’d expect them to have different blocks or major lines to prevent this it’s been out sense 7 am for me and has yet to be fixed i’m not able to do any of my work because of this. I am furious that this happened

Metamora 61548: MTCO has been updating their Facebook page with updates. They said it’s an issue of a fiber being cut in Chicago and out of their hands completely. My guess is it will be a day until things are back up and running again. I’m even having trouble with my cellular (Verizon) and that’s unrelated to MTCO.

MTCO has acknowledged a hit to a fiber source in Chicago affecting services. A cut fiber is a MULTI hour repair, like 8-12 hours minimum.

Mtco acknowledges the outage but has no idea when it'll be fixed. It's been down for over 3 hours. Seems like plenty of time to come up with an ETA to fix. Very frustrating.
