Let others know about your problems with Xfinity: Write comment
In today's world, we rely on technology more than ever before. So what do you do when Xfinity by Comcast has an outage? We've put together a list of steps to take to make sure you stay connected.
If you experience an Xfinity outage, the first thing you should do is stay calm. Don't panic, as this will only make the situation worse. This also happens with other providers such as Cox or Charter Communications for example. Instead, take a deep breath and follow these steps:
1. First, check to see if there is an official outage in your area. You can do this by visiting the Xfinity website or checking their social media channels.
2. If there is an outage, call Xfinity customer service at 1-800-XFINITY (1-800-934-6489).
3. Customer service will be able to help you troubleshoot the issue and get your service up and running again as quickly as possible.
When an Xfinity outage occurs, checking social media for updates can be a great way to stay informed. Xfinity's official Twitter and Facebook accounts are the best place to look for real-time updates about service outages. You can also check local news pages or other community forums to see if others in your area are experiencing similar problems. By keeping an eye on these platforms, you can gain valuable insight into the cause of the outage and when it is likely to be resolved. Additionally, if you need help troubleshooting your service during an outage, you can often find helpful advice from other customers on these platforms as well.
If you're experiencing an Xfinity outage, there are a few steps you can take to try and fix the issue. One of those steps is restarting your router or modem. This can often help clear up any minor issues and get your service back up and running. To do this, simply unplug your router or modem for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Once it's been restarted, check to see if your service has been restored.
When an Xfinity outage occurs, having a backup plan in place can help keep you connected. If you have access to another internet service provider, such as a mobile data connection or a satellite internet provider, you may be able to use those services as alternatives until your Xfinity service is restored. Additionally, many providers offer their own backup plans that provide limited connectivity during outages.
It’s also helpful to have some form of Wi-Fi hotspot or wired connection available if possible. This could include using your smartphone as a Wi-Fi hotspot or plugging into an ethernet cable if available. While these methods will not provide the same speeds or reliability of your Xfinity service, they can still be helpful in keeping you connected during an outage.
By taking proactive steps and having a backup plan in place, you can minimize the disruption caused by an Xfinity outage and ensure that you stay connected even when faced with unexpected network issues.

I have never seen a Service that goes out everyday and evening like clock work. I can’t even do my Va appointments online because it’s so slow and I’m paying for high speeds. I have family members living in the mountains of West Virginia using satellite and getting better service then me. I truly don’t understand this and why the CEO of XFINITY isn’t up in arms over this. If another provider came in town people be jumping ship like it was on fire and sinking. I myself been looking into Elon musk Internet service along with his new phone service and phone. I think I need a good positive change before I blow a head gasket. If the CEO of XFINITY don’t event care. Then why should I be paying for a service that only works not even close to half of the time. The thing I truly think a lot of the problems are is the taps at the polls or box’s are bad and they are not changing then out only the service guys goes out to homes and put a quick band-Aid fix and calls it a day. A bad tap will cause all the problems everyone is complaining of. I was talking to one of the tech guys and I mentioned the out side tap and he just went blank, and avoiding the whole question and went on another topic

Went down out of nowhere. No one will pick up the phone. The robot is the most useless and annoying thing possible. One time I got through to a human he hung up on me after he asked if I was calling from the number on my account. Of course not! How could I call from the number if the phones are down? So he just choose to hang up. He made no attempt to call back. Now I can't get past the robot. Using a hotspot from my phone I was able to get to Google. Tried looking for their down map, but I can't do that without signing in. I don't have that info here, and I shouldn't need it to see a map. They don't need anything outside of my zip code to show me if the part of the map where I live is in red. Worst service ever. 22602 winchester

33916... This recent outage was way too big and lasted too long to be a simple fibre line cut. It obviously was a cyber attack. Xfinity needs to own up to this and better secure our right to safe internet

33914 & 33993 I am sitting at an xfinity store they say by 4am services should be back up. According to other third party apps my opinion looks like a cyber attack because the outage area is way to big and this store doesn’t have service’s up and running to even assist their own customers. Common sense They wouldn’t put their own systems out effecting their ability to assist customers.

In Boynton Beach 33472 area. I've lived here for 7 months and Xfinity have had outages more than 3 times since I've been here. Internet and phone are out today. TV was out yesterday. You call and they tell you there is no problem but they cannot access your equipment saying they will send a tech out the next day. Then they admit the problem is on their side but still need to send a tech. Worst service I've ever had from an internet/tv provider.
