They can upload their own albums and decide whether the download of their songs is free or paid. It is also possible to download for free in exchange for entering your email address. 15% in revenue from sales is taken by Bandcamp, however, the share drops to 10% when the revenue from sales exceeds $5,000. Participation in Bandcamp is free of charge. Customers can choose between MP3 with a constant bit rate of 320 kbit/s, MP3 with variable bit rate, FLAC, AAC, Ogg Vorbis with a constant bit rate of 192 kbit/s, WAV and ALAC when downloading music. Uploading music is possible in WAV, AIFF or FLAC formats.
